He is who I am.

Falling more in love with God means falling more in love with me! He is beautiful, I am beautiful. He is perfect, I am perfect. My identity comes from nowhere else!

How can you not jump for joy?! So overwhelmed by his goodness. Thank you Jesus for truth.

Ephesians 4:23 Put on your new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

These portraits taken by Jimmy Nelson are breathtaking. They really capture the beauty of what it means to be “fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14) Give yourself time to really take in what has been captured through these photographs, you will see that there are stories being told. There is so much history and wonder as you look into the eyes of these spectacular people. These people, all so different but all so special. Created in the image of God and all his vastness. It blows my mind. The video at the end is pretty incredible too.

Our world truly is a spectacular place, I have been blessed to be in Australia, Dubai, Singapore, Uganda and New Zealand. Although a couple of these places were short stop overs, I was still able to experience the variety of their cultures through the people. It excites me to think that God created each country so unique but so full of wonder to explore and take in. Even if you haven’t travelled, you can get a glimpse of this through your friends, neighbours and community. Just by taking a look at how people do things, the way that they carry themselves, and the values they behold, you will see them in a different light.

Your uniqueness is something to celebrate! These photographs really struck a chord in my heart to be who I am. To really love the way that God made me. “I love me!” I am learning to say this everyday. Of all topics my church pastor spoke about ‘Loving thy selfie’ this morning. Haha, gotta love our Father’s timing! The more I think about how God knitted me together, the more I realise how amazing I am. God made me perfect, who am I to complain about that? I say that in the most humblest way possible, but ya know there is actually nothing wrong with saying it, you gotta believe it to live it.

Here’s to letting our true selves shine! x
